Job summary

Rutherford Briant, a leading professional services firm in the UK, is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to manage a diverse client portfolio, provide accounts preparation, financial reporting and advisory support, and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

The role requires ACA or ACCA qualification with at least three years' post-qualification experience, strong UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and the ability to lead and develop junior staff. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification with at least three years' post-qualified experience.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of clients and supervising junior staff.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements (IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101).

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse client portfolio, build relationships and deliver high-quality service while identifying growth opportunities.
• Provide accounts preparation, financial reporting and advisory support; work with clients through the audit process.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101).
• Monitor and manage project finances: budgets, costs, billing, and recovery of fees.
• Lead, support and develop junior team members through supervision and reviews.

Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Manager, you will...

• Oversee a diverse client portfolio, building strong relationships and delivering a high-quality service while identifying opportunities to support wider business growth.


• Provide clients with accounts preparation, financial reporting and advisory support, working closely with them throughout the audit process.


• Use your technical expertise to ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards, including IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 101.


• Monitor and manage project finances, taking ownership of budgets, costs, billing and the timely recovery of outstanding fees.


• Lead, support and develop junior team members through effective supervision, coaching and regular performance and development reviews.

Requirements:
