I have a new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a reputable Construction business in Cornwall. The client works on local projects within Cornwall and Devon, providing affordable local materials to the market.

Working within a busy office, managing 2 members of the Accounts team and running the accounting function, which is an important element of the business.

What’s required:
  • Managing Payroll for all employees
  • VAT Returns & reports
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Organising new starters
  • Daily sales ledger
  • Payments to subcontractors and CIS returns
  • VAT returns
  • Resolving and processing payment queries
  • Processing large payments
  • Supporting and managing 2 team members
Skills and attributes needed:
  • Proven background in the housebuilding/construction sector in a similar role
  • Experience working within Accounts and ideally qualified at AAT level or higher
  • Confident managing others and able to work to deadlines
  • Proactive, motivated, and organised
  • Experience using Sage software and ideally EQUE2, with good knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
