Accounts Manager - Full Time / Office based – Blandford • £32,000 - £35,000

REED Accountancy and Finance are currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join a prestigious high end automotive company for a Temp to Perm or Perm opportunity. Our client has built a strong reputation for quality and customer service, looking to expand their operations they are recruiting a key member of the Finance team to work alongside the Financial Controller.

Hours and Holiday
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch
  • Holiday entitlement is currently 20 days plus bank holidays each year
Responsibilities
  • Posting payments and receipts using Xero accounting software
  • Managing AP/AR ledgers
  • Setting up weekly supplier payments
  • Completing online quarterly VAT returns using Xero
  • Assisting with month-end accounts
  • Running month end payroll using Brightpay payroll software
  • Processing expense claims and supporting VAT/PAYE payments
  • Calculation of sales commissions
  • Checking project profitability
  • Reconciling accounts and preparing audit evidence
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
  • Experience in using Xero accounting software required
  • Familiarity with AP/AR processes and ledger management
  • Working knowledge of VAT, PAYE and payroll processing
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Committed, self-disciplined and possessing good inter-personal skills
  • An interest in applying AI to the role wherever possible, and increasing efficiency in all tasks would be an advantage
