Part-time / Full-time

Flexible, 20 – 37.5 hours week

Location: Distillery HQ near Padstow

WE ARE ON THE HUNT FOR AN ENTHUSIASTIC & ORGANISED TEAM PLAYER TO JOIN THE OFFICE TEAM AT SOUTHWESTERN DISTILLERY .

Southwestern Distillery (creators of Tarquin’s Gin, Twin Fin Rum, Connie Glaze Vodka & Tinner Bros Whisky) are recruiting an Accounts and Customer Service Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to support our marvellous office team and help spread the word of our award-winning, craft spirits. As our Account and Customer Service Assistant, you will be the vital link between our customers, sales team, production, and warehouse operations. This role combines financial responsibilities with customer service excellence, requiring strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.

Founded back in 2012 by self-taught Master Distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter, Southwestern Distillery is proudly Cornwall’s original, independent, family-run distillery. We now have a team of over 50 and have been ranked the UK’s no. 1 independent gin brand for 3 years in a row. We are more than just a gin distillery; we are pioneers and innovators in craft spirits. Driven by a passion for our home in Cornwall and our desire to do things a little differently. We have launched two new brands and still have plenty of exciting plans on the horizon!

We are looking for a passionate team player to join our office team. We're looking for someone who's organised, friendly, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. If you're the kind of person who loves a good to-do list, pays attention to the little details, and feels comfortable juggling a few tasks at once, we’d love to hear from you! Being a team player with a can-do attitude and good communication skills will help you fit right in.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Master the complete sales order processing and sales accounts functions
  • Provide responsive customer service support for our online shop, handling inquiries via email and phone
  • Serve as a key liaison between production, warehouse, customers, suppliers, and our sales team
  • Manage credit control processes, ensuring timely payments and maintaining healthy cash flow
  • Execute general office tasks on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Proficiently operate various business systems including Outlook, MS Excel, Word, Unleashed, Xero, Link, Shopify, and Ticketing Hub

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in customer service or accounts preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Quick learner willing to master multiple software platforms
