Overview

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Controller to join our Latin America and Caribbean client servicing team in Ipswich!

Within this role you will have the opportunity to look after your own portfolio of clients, ensuring that balances are paid in accordance with contract conditions. You will work daily with our colleagues in London and Mumbai.

Reinsurance experience is not essential as we will provide training however the successful candidate will have proficient Spanish language skills and be happy working with numbers.

How you'll make an impact
  • Ensure the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client’s monies
  • Be responsible for the fiscal relationship for designated clients and act as the main point of contact for all matters relating to payments
  • Actively service accounts to a high standard and ensure timely collection and payment of monies due to/ from clients, reinsurers and third parties; reconciliation, chasing and minimisation of funding to ensure financial metrics are achieved.
  • Use MI to identify debtor related problems and advance, negotiate and influence where necessary to resolve.
  • Conduct analysis and correlation of cash
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key partners
  • Complete Account Controller core requirement reviews where appropriate
  • Comply to standardised Group policies and procedures, Accounting and Settlement fundamentals, including sanctions touch points and other regulatory requirements
About you
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
  • CII qualifications or studying towards would be helpful
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Attention to detail, ability to coordinate and prioritise
  • Ability to collaborate in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both clients and brokers
  • Good time management skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
