Job description

My client is a reputable Manufacturer in Middleton, who represent two brands. They are looking for a dedicated Accounts Clerk to join their busy accounts / finance department. This role is permanent 37.5 hours per week and is directly employed by my client.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for a wide range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions under general supervision.
  2. Coding and posting cash receipts electronically while identifying trends in payment differences.
  3. Code and process accounts payable for selected companies.
  4. Monitor customer accounts for past-due payments including making business to business collection calls.
  5. Month-end closing responsibilities.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clerical accounting, high school diploma and have technology aptitude.
  2. Associate degree in accounting or business, a plus.
  3. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and knowledge of accounting software, a plus.
  4. Team-player with a strong sense of urgency.
  5. Interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Problem-solving and attention to detail.
