Job description

We’re proud to be partnering with a successful and long-established window and door fabrication business, known for delivering quality products and service to clients nationwide. As the company continues to grow, they are now seeking an experienced Accounts/Bookkeeper to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who’s confident using SAGE or Xero and looking to take ownership of the accounts function within a thriving, hands-on business environment.

As the Accounts/Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company. Working closely with the directors and wider team, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting informed business decisions.

This is a varied and autonomous position, ideal for someone who enjoys making a role their own and implementing best practices.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing the company’s accounts using SAGE or Xero
  • Purchase and sales ledger management
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Processing supplier payments and handling customer receipts
  • VAT returns and submissionsCredit control and debt managementPayroll preparation and submissions (if required)
  • Producing monthly management reports for directors
  • Liaising with external accountants and stakeholders
  • General bookkeeping and administrative finance duties as required

Candidate Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE and/or Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident in managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or construction-related environment would be advantageous but not essential
