Specialist Accountancy practice recruitment consultancy Clark Wood are working with a leading Staffordshire firm of chartered accountants who are looking to add an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join their growing team in Stafford.

The ideal individual will have varied general practice experience, including experience of assisting on Audit assignments, and will hold either the AAT qualification or may have begun studying towards the ACA / ACCA qualifications. Candidates who do not have audit experience as yet but have a genuine desire to gain this, will be considered.

As an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior your role will involve a mixture of accounts, tax and audit work and you will gain exposure to a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, and partnerships
  • Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures it appropriately addresses audit objectives
  • Assist senior team members with the completion of audit assignments, playing an active role in carrying out the assignment at client premises
Skills:
  • AAT Qualified, ACA / ACCA Students or Part Qualified
  • Experience in working with Owner Managed Business
  • Experience of assisting on audit assignments or a genuine interest in developing in this area
