Job description

We are recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice, comprising around 70 staff. The role would suit someone with audit and accounts experience, who has started studying for a chartered qualification.

This is a friendly firm that is CSR focused, and the role will offer the opportunity to develop and progress within the firm.

The firm will offer the Accounts & Audit Semi Senior:

Reporting to the Head of Audit and Accounts, as Accounts & Audit Semi Senior, your responsibilities will include:

1. Supporting and assisting with planning, fieldwork and completion of audit assignments
2. Accounts preparation
3. Identifying client needs and providing solutions
4. Carry out SAR and charities audit
5. Corporation tax computations
6. Carry out work within deadlines and to budget
7. Involvement in mentoring, supervising and training more junior staff
8. Research and analyse financial statements for audit related issues
9. Client management to gather information and resolve issues
10. Manage assignments and report progress to Audit Manager or Partner

1. Part qualified ACA or ACCA with previous audit and accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
2. Good technical knowledge and analytical skill
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Good general IT skills; MS Office, Sage, Xero and other accounting software, CCH experience would be an advantage
5. Technically up to date with legislation
6. Positive, motivated team player
7. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
8. Ideally a driver with own car
