Job summary

Hampshire Chartered Accountancy Practice in Southampton is seeking an Audit and Accounts Assistant or Semi Senior to join a friendly, supportive team with study support and excellent progression opportunities. You will handle company accounts, sole traders and corporate tax returns, with exposure to a mix of SME clients and not-for-profits.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of practice experience in accounts preparation and assisting with audits.
• AAT qualified or ACCA/ ACA studying.
• Well organised and able to work autonomously.
• Experience dealing with clients face to face.

Responsibilities

• Prepare company accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare accounts for sole traders, Ltd companies and partnerships.
• Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensure audit objectives are addressed.
• Take an active part in audit planning and fraud discussions to identify risks and strategy.
• Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
• Ensure planned audit work is completed to satisfy objectives.
• Gain exposure to both small and large clients, including not-for-profit organisations.

As an Audit and Accounts Assistant or even Semi Senior, youwill be responsible for:

• Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, Ltd companies, andpartnerships
• Assist in the preparation of the audit plan and ensures itappropriately addresses audit objectives
• Take an active part in the audit planning and frauddiscussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
• Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
• Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed tosatisfy audit objectives
• You Will get exposure ofboth small and largecompanies, as well as some not-for-profit organisations too.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have /be:
