Job summary

RG Consultancy are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for their Oldham office to join a small finance team. You will work alongside another accounts assistant and report into the Finance Manager.

The role suits someone seeking an all-around accounts position with study support for AAT. Expect to handle daily transactions, invoicing, reconciliations and payroll support. 30,000–32,000 GBP per annum, with 25 days holiday and 8 bank holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working within an accounts/finance role is essential.
• AAT qualification or studying towards would be an advantage but not essential.
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel and SAGE would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day accounting and financial transactions
• Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
• Reconciliing bank statements and company accounts
• Supporting month-end and year-end preparation
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
• Assisting with payroll preparation and expenses where needed
• Communicating with suppliers and clients and chasing any outstanding payments
• Preparing reports and summaries for management
• Supporting the wider finance team and finance manager with ad hoc tasks as required
