Job summary

Axon Moore is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant in Bradford. The role focuses on supporting the finance team with purchase ledger tasks and ongoing accounting duties. You will gain exposure to management accounts and have the opportunity to pursue AAT qualifications with employer support.

The position is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a clear path toward developing your accounting knowledge in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchase ledger or accounts administration.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Confident Excel and general IT skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C+ or above, or equivalent.
• Interest in studying AAT and developing accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices and transactions.
• Handle employee expenses and bank transactions.
• Deal with supplier queries and investigate discrepancies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Assist with month-end processes and management accounts preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide general support across the finance team as required.
