Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant

Keighley, West Yorkshire

Full Time Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week

SLA Employment Solutions is working with a Chartered Accountancy Practice in Keighley, West Yorkshire, seeking an Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Accountancy Practice and will be either AAT qualified or studying towards their AAT qualification; full study support is available.

Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Job Overview:

• Perform various accountancy tasks for the firm's clients, including compliance and management accounts for different client types such as sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, LLPs, charities, and clubs.
• Mentor and train junior staff to ensure high standards in accounts preparation.
• Assist with audit work as needed.
• Support clients and colleagues with accounts and cloud-based queries and training.
• Handle basic tax compliance related to accounts, such as Schedule D computations, Corporation Tax computations, and Capital Allowances.
• Maintain a good understanding of other general taxes like Self Assessment, BIK & P11Ds, S455, and CIS to provide excellent client service.
