Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant

We are working with a modern accountancy firm based in Preston, Lancashire, who are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Semi Senior Accountant to join their small, vibrant office on a full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior or Trainee Accountant with 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice who is looking for the next step in their accounting career!

Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant Job Overview

Bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns for a variety of clients including sole traders, SME's, LTD companies and OMB's.
Experience in using accounting software - ideally xero, Iris and well versed with Excel.
Accounts preparation up to review stage - you will be working closely with a Senior to guide you.
Preparing personal tax returns, primarily for directors and shareholders.

Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant Job Requirements

1. At least 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy firm.
2. Experience in preparing final accounts.
3. AAT qualified (or working towards).
4. ACCA Study support available for the right individual.
5. Passionate about helping your clients grow, acting with integrity and able to use initiative to problem solve.

Accounts Assistant / Semi Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience (could be more for the right person).
Monday to Thursday: Flexible start between 8am - 10am, finish between 4pm - 6pm.
Friday: 9am - 2pm (half-day!).
Hybrid working - Monday each week is an office day.
Lunch break: 30 minutes.
