Accounts Assistant Role Overview

NC Associates are working with a market leading property organisation based in Manchester who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to help support the finance team with a wide range of tasks including transactional finance as well as month end processes. This company has grown considerably over the past 18 months and will continue to grow through various acquisitions they have planned.

Accounts Assistant – Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Payments & Reconciliations – Reviewing, processing, and authorising supplier payments.
  • Billing & Credit Control – Managing service charges, rent, insurance, and recharges.
  • VAT Returns & Month-End Tasks – Assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations.
  • Bank Reconciliations – Ensuring accuracy and resolving outstanding items.
  • Data & System Management – Maintaining up-to-date financial records within accounting systems.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding Support – Managing financial transitions for new and outgoing instructions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline financial processes.

Essential Experience Required

  • Previous experience working as an Accounts Assistant
  • Property Sector Knowledge – Beneficial but not essential.
  • Proactive & Organised – Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented – Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Personable & Easy-Going – A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Tech-Savvy – Experience with accounting/property management systems is a plus.
