Job summary

Lloyd Barnes Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a well-established organisation in Exeter, Devon. This full-time role covers a range of finance duties including accounts, reconciliations, payroll and financial administration.

The ideal candidate will have AAT Level 2 or equivalent, experience with Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll, and strong Excel skills. You will work within a multi-entity finance environment and support the month-end processes.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 2 qualified or equivalent.
• Experience using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
• Experience in a multi-entity finance environment.
• Strong Excel skills with numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices accurately
• Manage accounts payable, receivable and credit control
• Complete regular bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records across multiple entities
• Support monthly payroll processing and employee payments
• Process expenses, mileage claims and related documentation
• Assist with VAT, month-end and year-end reporting
• Provide general finance and administrative support as required
