Our client is a dynamic, medium-sized firm of chartered accountants, business management experts, and corporate and private client advisors, based in the vibrant heart of London’s West End. Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of accounts preparation, including reviewing financial statements and the work of both in-house and offshore team members
  • Guide and support junior team members by providing clear feedback and updates to senior managers and directors
  • Delegate tasks effectively, giving clear instructions and managing team workloads
  • Monitor job schedules to ensure deadlines and targets are consistently met
  • Handle client issues as they arise and assist team members with routine client matters
  • Step in to prepare accounts when needed
  • Support management and other ad hoc reporting as required
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • At least 5 years of experience working in accountancy, ideally within a public practice environment
  • Proficient in a range of accounting software, including CaseWare Accounts, QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage
  • Solid technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and risk understanding, with the judgment to know when to escalate complex issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with care and discretion
  • Proficient in IT and confident using accounting and business software
  • Sharp attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
  • Committed, adaptable, and team-oriented, willing to support colleagues, delegate effectively, and take ownership of tasks and projects
