Job summary

A fast-growing IT company in Cheadle is seeking an Accounts Assistant / Management Accountant to support the Finance Director. Responsibilities include managing month-end accounts, maintaining accounting processes, and handling credit control. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, Excel knowledge, and experience in an accounts team, preferably working towards AAT qualification. In return, the company offers attractive perks including extra holidays and a sabbatical after five years.

  • Salary: up to £30,000pa
  • Location: Cheadle
  • Working Hours: 9 am - 5 pm (core hours)

Agility is delighted to be working with a fast-growing IT company seeking for an Accounts Assistant / Management Accountant to join their team.

They are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to support the Finance Director and be responsible for the overall Management Accounts and Sales Ledger function.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Month end & year end management accounts.
  • Work with internal managers to ensure financial interactions with suppliers and customers are effective.
  • Work with our support team and account managers to ensure products are sold correctly and in line with company practices.
  • Creation and maintenance of accounting processes.
  • Run sales invoices and credit notes.
  • Issue statements to customers.
  • Credit control including liaising directly with customers and the sales team, to ensure customers pay within the terms.

  • Clear communicator internally and externally.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines at month end/year end (holidays to be taken outside of these periods).
  • An interest in technology and automation would be advantageous.
Required Skills
