Qualifications

  • Recognised accountancy qualification (AAT Level 3/ILFM or equivalent) or working towards one.
  • Experience in an accounts office is required.
  • Knowledge of legal accounting principles is desirable but not essential.

Accounts Assistant/Legal Cashier (Accounts Department) – based in Barrow in Furness

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant with a recognised accountancy qualification (i.e. AAT level 3/ILFM or equivalent) or working towards one. You will have previous experience of working in an accounts office.

Experience in a law firm with knowledge of legal accounting principles, including compliance with the SRA Accounts rules would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided including external training qualifications.

You will have strong Microsoft IT skills with a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and the use of internet banking systems. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Exceptional accuracy/attention to detail and strong organisational and time management skills with a positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Both full-time and part-time roles will be considered for the right candida te.

The salary range for this role is £26,000.00 to £32,000.00 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
