Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant:
  • Preparation of VAT returns, financial statements for SMEs, and management accounts
  • General Bookkeeping duties
  • Liaising with clients face-to-face and over the phone, building strong professional relationships
  • Managing your own work and client appointments, demonstrating organization, responsibility, and multitasking skills
What we are looking for in an Accounts Assistant:
  • 2-5 years of experience within a UK Accountancy Practice, preferably recent experience in a chartered firm
  • ACCA/ACA/AAT Part Qualified or studying towards qualification
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
  • Experience preparing management or year-end accounts is desirable
