Accounts Assistant

Location: Kirmington

Salary: £28,000 per annum plus study support

Benjamin Edwards is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic SME following a period of investment and continuing growth and diversification. The organisation is a well-established global leader in their industry. As Accounts Assistant, you will be supporting and reporting to the Company Accountant. The role will be broad and varied, and full on the job training and study support will be provided.

The role of Accounts Assistant

* Management Accounts - assisting with the preparation of monthly management pack

* Costings and price lists - annually updating costings for all products and updating various price lists to be issued to customers

* Payroll - monthly collection of data for submission to payroll bureau

* Month and year end procedures - managing payments, expense claims, preparing journals, running of day books, involvement with stock counts, producing reconciliations

* Preparation of quarterly VAT return

* Covering the book-keeping function in the case of staff absence and holidays

* AP and AR duties

* Other tasks as required

The ideal candidate for the role of Accounts Assistant

* Strong A Levels/accounting qualification (i.e. AAT L3/L4)

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills

* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
