VANRATH are delighted to be working with a well establish construction business based in the Portglenone area who are currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team, initially on a 2-3 month contract basis with potential for extension.

The Ideal Person

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Payroll role experience desirable
  • Qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified) is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Weekly and monthly payroll function
  • Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end accounts.
  • Support bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and customers regarding payments and invoices.
  • Assist in payroll processing and maintain related records.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.
