Job summary

Oakley Recruitment Ltd, partnering with a Birmingham-based organisation, is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a full-time 12-month FTC. If you’re detail-driven, confident with numbers, this is a great step in your finance career.

You will manage bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, supplier/customer accounts, invoices and payments, with hybrid working after probation. The role offers exposure to a busy finance function and opportunities to develop skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
• Preferably holding or working towards an AAT qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage bank balances and daily bank reconciliations.
• Manage balance sheet accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
• Create new supplier and customer accounts within the accounting system.
• Create customer invoices, credit notes and initiate Direct Debit payments.
• Allocate incoming payments and support credit control activity.
• Process supplier invoices.
• Send supplier remittances and support other finance duties.
