Due to continued success and growth we are now looking to recruit a hardworking and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant.
The successful candidate will be part of a small but busy team and will be responsible for assisting with the successful and accurate accounting function across the group. The role will be varied and offers a good basis for the candidate to learn the key areas within a finance team, as well as an opportunity for progression over time, with training packages available.
Purchase ledger maintenance including inputting invoices, authorisation of invoices, preparation of weekly payment runs and reconciling corresponding bank transactions.
Handling any supplier queries regarding payments.
Sales ledger maintenance including raising occasional invoices and monitoring credit control
Assist with monthly preparation of journals, including accruals and prepayments, towards preparation of management accounts
Bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as employee expense claims.
Ad-hoc reporting/analysis when necessary.
Support the statutory accounting and year end process.
Assistance with the preparation of quarterly Regulatory and VAT returns.
Previous experience within an Accounts environment would be beneficial.
Good Excel and Mathematical Skills
Excellent organisation and administrative skills with attention to detail essential.
Ability to work in a team environment, but also to work on own initiative being adaptive and flexible.
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and contribute to a busy and dynamic environment.
