A local government-owned company is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the finance department. The role involves managing invoices, conducting reconciliations, and providing support to stakeholders. Candidates should have strong Excel skills and be working towards an accounting qualification. As the Accounts Assistant you will be the first point of contact our suppliers and customers encounter. The role is highly visible and adds value to the business and the teams it supports. The role exists to perform many of the transactional activities within the department.
To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of the importance of financial policies and governance, be working towards an accounting qualification, have good attention to detail with excellent communication skills and strong IT skills, Excel pivot tables essential, with a can-do attitude to learning new systems.
