Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Exeter is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on an initial 4‑month contract with potential for extension. You will support day‑to‑day accounting tasks across multiple projects UK‑wide, ensuring accurate ledgers and timely supplier payments.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, month‑end duties, and ad‑hoc finance tasks in a busy on‑site environment with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• In-house accounts roles such as Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator.
• Strong purchase and sales ledger experience.
• Good Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of purchase invoices and match to POs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly supplier payments and raise sales invoices.
• Allocate customer payments and maintain sales ledgers.
• Support credit control, chase outstanding debt, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end duties including accruals/prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process expenses and timesheets; support project costing and ad-hoc finance tasks.
