Interaction Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Assistant in Mid Devon to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy and compliance. The role requires strong organisation and communication skills, with experience in bookkeeping and use of accounting software.

The position offers a temporary-to-permanent pathway with a salary of £27k-£30k depending on experience. You will work closely with the finance team to manage invoices, reconciliations, and reporting, using Excel and other

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounts is essential.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) with confidence to liaise with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience using accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

Responsabilités

• Manage and oversee credit control, including debt chasing and query resolution.
• Process and input purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash records.
• Maintain and manage the debtor ledger.
• Support month-end procedures, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Use Excel and accounting software to track, analyse, and update financial data.
• Ensure accurate filing and maintenance of financial documentation.
• Provide ad hoc support to the finance team and wider business as required.
