The RoleWe are currently looking for a Junior Legal Cashier. In this role, you will work alongside two experienced team members who will provide on-the-job training, enabling you to handle high volumes of work and deliver high-quality, timely services to our fee-earning teams and clients. You will perform various accounting duties in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules and Code of Conduct.
This position is an ideal starting point for someone interested in working within an Accounts function. Some accounts experience is advantageous.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Posting Client Bank Monies
- Printing cheque requests
- Posting and reconciling received cheques with incoming branch cheque lists
- Assisting with and covering time write-offs (in the absence of other legal cashiers)
- Managing Posting Queues (GEVU’s)
- Verifying bank details
- Processing card payments from clients
- Month-end scanning
- Executing end-of-day BACS / FPN runs (once trained, independently)
- Training to process completions in the future
Experience Needed- Admin / Accounts experience
- Preferably working towards an AAT qualification
- Proficient in Excel
