Job summary

A community-focused organization is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a 6-month contract in Hounslow. You will support the Finance team with tasks such as credit control, invoicing, and bank reconciliations, working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in transactional finance and good Excel skills. An Accounting qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Proficient in Excel and tech-savvy.
  • Ability to pick up new systems easily.

Responsibilities

  • Support credit control by contacting customers and producing debtors report.
  • Raise PO's and sales invoices, make payments.
  • Help with month-end tasks and management accounts pack.
  • Prepare journals for accruals, prepayments, payroll.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.

Joining their Finance team as Accounts Assistant you will be supporting with a broad variety of tasks in the Finance team including:

  • Credit control - contacting customers and producing the debtors report
  • Raising PO's and sales invoices, making same-day and one-off payments
  • Helping with the month end tasks and monthly management accounts pack
  • Preparing journals for approval including accruals, prepayments, payroll, etc.
  • Bank reconciliations daily, weekly and monthly and posting receipts
This is the perfect role for someone who has a year or two working in transactional finance/accounting and ready for their next step.

Location: Hounslow on the West London / Middlesex border. This is a hybrid role 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Salary: circa £30,000 depending on your experience. You should have good Excel skills and be tech-savvy, able to pick up new systems easily.

It would be advantageous if you're studying an Accounting qualification like AAT, ACCA, etc. but it's not a dealbreaker. Interested? Apply today!
