Accounts AssistantLocation: Near Woking
Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum + monthly performance bonus (~3–4%)
Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 9:00–17:15, Friday 9:00–17:00. Flexwithin company core hours)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Workplace: Office-based (no hybrid/remote working)
A long-established engineering and manufacturing business near Woking is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to support both the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions within their finance department. This is a full-time, permanent role based at their modern UK manufacturing HQ.
Please note: This is an office-based position. Due to the nature of the role and team collaboration required, home working is not available.

Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:Sales Ledger- Setting up and maintaining customer accounts
- Raising and posting sales invoices and credit notes
- Posting customer receipts and reconciling accounts
- Assisting with credit control and releasing accounts on hold
- Monthly reporting and ledger reconciliations
- Month-end close support and intercompany reconciliations
Purchase Ledger- Processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements
- Maintaining supplier records and credit applications
- Managing supplier mailbox and resolving queries
- Posting credit card expenses
- Dealing with PO-related issues
Other Duties- Supporting the year-end audit
- Assisting with general finance tasks as required
Accounts Assistant Profile:- Part-qualified or interested in studying towards AAT (or similar)
- Good working knowledge of Excel; ERP experience is advantageous
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicator, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- A team player with a proactive, positive approach
