Aspray24 is a well-established privately run, family business, with a strong national network throughout the UK, specialising in next day delivery, logistics and International Transport, established for over 30 years, employing nearly 800 staff.

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our established Finance Department. Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will support the preparation of monthly management accounts and also provide cover for the key components of the finance function, in particular payroll, sales ledger and purchase ledger.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will also be responsible for:

  • Reconciliation of Balance Sheets, Cashbook, Credit Card and Intercompany postings.
  • Management of petty cash.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly payroll.
  • Providing cover for Sales and Purchase Ledger, including posting cash and dealing with queries that should arise.
  • Supporting the Finance Director and Management Accountant in streamlining department procedures and introducing efficiencies.
  • Posting of cash and preparation of imports to Confidential Invoice Discounting facility.
  • Fixed asset depreciation calculation and postings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, sales and purchase ledger working within a fast paced environment and can work comfortably on Microsoft Packages in particular Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets. Experience with Sage Line 50 would be useful although not essential. This is a permanent opportunity working Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am - 5:30pm.
