Accounts Assistant - About the role: OA are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support a fast-paced SME. Based at their Letchworth headquarters, this role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Accounts Assistant - Responsibilities:
Daily processing of all bank transactions
Managing customer accounts and payment plans
Handling purchase ledger activities
Running monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
Reconciling bank, purchase, and sales ledger accounts monthly
Compiling weekly performance indicators
Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts
Liaising with suppliers, placing orders, and resolving queries
Managing and processing supplier payments
Accounts Assistant - What We're Looking For:
Experience in an Accounts Department, including Payroll
Experience within a fast-paced SME environment
Strong understanding of purchase, sales, and general ledger functions
Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; Sage Payroll experience advantageous
