What we are looking for:

We are looking for a professional and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our growing Accounts team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will assist with the cost accountant to bring additional resources to the Finance Department, strengthen the department at holiday time.

Key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant will be to:
  • Weekly Valuation of inventories
  • Petty Cash Management
  • Weekly Purchase Price Variances
  • VAT Returns
  • Internal stock audits
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
  • Assist with EDI of sales invoices
  • Assist with Creditors Ledger
  • Petty Cash Management
  • Provide ad hoc and regular analysis to assist in understanding business performance
Required experience/expertise to succeed as an Accounts Assistant will include:
  • Prior work experience in a similar role
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Working towards a recognized accounting qualification
