We are seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the wider finance team with essential tasks. What We Expect of You:
  1. Manage accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring accurate coding and posting in the COINS system.
  2. Reconcile supplier statements to resolve discrepancies.
  3. Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
  4. Assist in preparing financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  5. Transition to, maintain, and update financial records in COINS, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  6. Produce ad hoc financial reports as required.
  7. Respond to queries from stakeholders and liaise with suppliers regarding payments.
  8. Collaborate with project teams on financial matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Proven experience in an accounting support role, preferably within construction, utilities, or civil engineering sectors.
  2. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  5. Knowledge of industry-specific financial processes, such as project cost tracking, is advantageous.
  6. Experience with COINS software or other ERP systems is a plus.
  7. Strong numerical and analytical skills, effective communication, and team collaboration abilities.
  8. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
