Qualifications

Job description

Part Time 25 Hours Per Week - Weekdays Only

Woodthorpe Leisure Park Ltd is a growing Caravan and Holiday Park nestled in the heart of the countryside near Alford, Lincolnshire.
Role Overview:

Due to the ongoing expansion of the Park, we are seeking a proactive, experienced and detail-orientated part-time Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic new opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of finance tasks. You'll be working closely with the Accounts Manager supporting the business with day-to-day financial operations and helping to streamline processes as we continue to grow. Experience with Sage Line 50 or similar package is essential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage Line 50
  • Invoicing: Generate and send customer invoices via internal integrated systems, monitor accounts receivable and address any invoices queries
  • Debt Chasing: Monitor outstanding payments, send reminders/statements and follow up with clients to ensure timely collection
  • Purchase ledger: Matching and coding all incoming supplier bills and inputting to Sage
  • Handle and process cash and card transactions generated through the on site Pub/Restaurant, Shop and Reception.
  • Assist with weekly cash submissions and change orders.
  • Handle general finance admin and ad hoc duties as required including cover in the shop and reception when needed
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 or similar package and general finance
  • Experience with handling and submission of cash/cheques to cash management suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently without close supervision
  • Comfortable in a relaxed, supportive, and family-oriented work environment
  • Qualifications (AAT etc.) are welcome but not essential experience and fit are more important
  • Be able to work Mondays and Fridays
