Accounts Assistant

Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Salary: £25,000 £32,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday Hybrid working

We re recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Ripon offering fantastic benefits, study support, and genuine career progression. Responsibilities:

  • Processing and managing both sales and purchase ledgers

  • Preparing and processing supplier payments

  • Posting journals and assisting with reconciliations

  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes

  • Assisting with financial reporting

  • Maintaining and developing procedures within Sage 200

  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role

  • Good knowledge of financial processes, including sales and purchase ledger

  • Proficiency in financial software, ideally Sage

  • Strong Excel skills

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Numerate with a methodical approach

  • Experience with foreign exchange transactions and trade finance is desirable
