Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis in Nottingham. The role involves day-to-day accounting tasks to support the finance function during a 6-month period.

The successful candidate will have prior accounts experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines while working well within a team.

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
• Good understanding of day-to-day accounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately.
• Manage supplier accounts, reconcile statements and resolve queries.
• Assist with credit control and chase outstanding payments.
• Allocate and post customer receipts and supplier payments.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end processes and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with general finance administration and ad hoc duties.

SF Partners is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who enjoys a varied role and is confident supporting day-to-day accounting activities.

The role will include:

• Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Managing supplier accounts, reconciling statements and resolving queries.
• Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments.
• Allocating and posting customer receipts and supplier payments.
• Completing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assisting with general finance administration and ad hoc duties as required.
