Job description

Accounts Assistant required for an excellent business located in Rugby, Warwickshire. This role is perfect for someone Part-Qualified or AAT qualified, looking to take that next step in their career.

Location: Rugby (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £27,500 - £32,500 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

This position plays a key role in supporting the operational side of the business, liaising with suppliers, distributors, business partners, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Bank reconciliations
Creating supplier accounts & processing invoices
Accounts payable and receivable
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Processing company card transactions and employee expense claims
Preparing journals and monthly schedules
Inputting data into SAP and maintaining ledgers
Assisting with credit control and trade debtor management
Handling customer credit limit applications and credit insurance
Supporting company vehicle record-keeping
General administration within the finance team, including filing and correspondence
Assisting with audit preparation

Essential Skills & Experience:
ACCA part-qualified or minimum AAT qualified
SAP proficiency is CRUCIAL
Advanced Excel is also CRUCIAL (Pivot tables & V-lookups)
Strong knowledge of VAT rules
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
Customer-focused approach
