Accounts Assistant (Part time)
Rochester, Kent | 8.30-4.30 or 8-4 for 4 days a week
Permanent | £30,000-£35,000 | 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays, Staff events with overnight stays, annual bonus, annual salary review, your own air conditioned office which has been recently refurbished to a high standard

My client, a well-established and respected engineering business, is looking for a detail-driven Sage 200 Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a key role supporting accurate job costing and financial processing, working closely with senior managers in a collaborative and professional environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Reviewing and maintaining job records in Sage 200
  • Processing purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices
  • Managing petty cash, staff expenses, and company credit cards
  • Reconciling month-end figures and preparing BACS payments
  • Posting payroll journals and providing occasional payroll cover
  • Ensuring accurate customer invoicing and overhead processing
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience using Sage 200 (essential)
  • A methodical, organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently and liaising with internal teams
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts support role
