Job summary

Forrest Recruitment Ltd are hiring an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established distribution company based in Birchwood, Warrington. This is a 12 months FTC with a salary up to £35k DOE.

The role covers day-to-day accounting, weekly payroll, intercompany reconciliations and month/end processes. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts or finance experience and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting and collaborating with the wider finance team.

Hours of work: Mon - Thurs (8:30am - 5pm) Fri (8:30am - 2:30pm)

Key duties of the role:

• Assist with the day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with weekly payroll, ensuring payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required.
• Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to management.
• Assist with tax reconciliations, including reviewing balances and investigating any discrepancies.
• Support the wider finance team with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
