Job description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role has a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, alongside managing the cashbook, reconciliations, and other general accounts duties. You will also provide valuable support through ad-hoc administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and process accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
  2. Maintain and update the cashbook daily
  3. Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations
  4. Assist with general accounts duties such as invoicing, credit control, and payment processing
  5. Support month-end and year-end financial activities
  6. Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the finance team and other departments as needed
  7. Communicate with customers regarding outstanding payments and resolve queries promptly
About You
  1. Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role, with a focus on accounts receivable
  2. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  4. Excellent organisational and time management skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  7. Reliable and committed to working in-office Monday to Friday, 9-5
