Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by managing accounts payable, processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of the mechanics of financial transactions and workflow.

Duties

  • Assist in managing accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Utilise accounting software Xero to support financial operations.
  • Prepare and reconcile financial statements and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Maintain organised files for all financial documentation and correspondence.
  • Support the finance team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role within the financial services sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software including Xero is highly advantageous.
  • Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders professionally.
