Job Description

An Accounts Assistant job is now available with an award-winning luxury developer in South West London. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career with a friendly and driven team working on spectacular properties in the UK. Salary of £30,000 - £35,000.

Working within the luxury residential sector and operating in London and the Home Counties, our client is now looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. This position would suit a personable and proactive individual with experience in accounts management who is looking to take ownership of their role within the accounts team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Commercial Director and the Office Manager
  • Overseeing/managing the accounts inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts
  • Entering financial data into the company's construction software for efficient invoice processing
  • Reconciling accounts using Xero
  • Handling employee expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
  • Assisting the company's accountant with various administrative duties and in preparing yearly accounts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' relevant experience with basic understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Must be personable, driven and adaptable
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of bookkeeping and accounts
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new software
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with VAT and CIS requirements preferred but training can be provided
  • Experience with Xero is preferred but not essential
  • Confident using MS Office & Excel.
