Accounts Assistant Role in Ipswich

This position is suitable for recent graduates in numeric-related subjects or accounts assistants seeking career development. The successful candidate will support insurance professionals and the accounts department in a dynamic Ipswich-based organization.

Main Duties
  1. Raise invoices/credits related to policy wording.
  2. Maintain reconciliations within the Accounts department.
  3. Assist with banking and remittances to ensure smooth department operations.
  4. Develop understanding of the insurance market and underwriting process.
  5. Assist with underwriting, including producing and distributing policy documentation.
  6. Input and maintain accurate records in Underwriting and Accounts systems, capturing relevant data for risk monitoring.
  7. Assist with credit control, including chasing bad debts and working with underwriters to recover funds.
  8. Liaise with brokers and policyholders to obtain information and chase outstanding premiums, adjustments, and declarations.
  9. Assist with processing claim payments.
  10. Build and maintain good relationships with brokers and clients.
