Job description

Our client is looking for:

  • Working hours: 25 hours, flexible during Monday–Friday

  • Location: City of London – 2 minutes walk from Bank Station (Hybrid Role)

Overview:

A rare opportunity to join a boutique real estate company in this varied role as a Finance Assistant.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, with the support of a part-time accountant, you will be joining this small and friendly team and be responsible for credit control duties, financial reporting, and ensuring the smooth running of the sales ledger.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable (staff expenses, payroll including commissions, invoices)
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Matching and managing payables and receivables in relation to tenants and landlords’ funds (payments/invoices/deposits)
  • Bank reconciliation and client deposit account reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations
  • Posting manual journals (including accruals and prepayments)
  • Preparing weekly cash flows and trade debtors/creditor listings, including arrears management
  • Supporting office administration (insurance & certifications) and reporting
  • Maintaining good relationships with tenants and landlords in line with our quality service
  • Establishing processes to improve financial control and effectiveness

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A can-do attitude
  • An organized individual
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel
  • An accountancy qualification is a bonus but not essential
  • Previous experience in a Finance / Assistant Accountant role
  • SAGE experience is a plus
