About this role

We're on the lookout for an ambitious, outgoing, and proactive individual to join our finance team! Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to bring fresh ideas and energy to the everyday operations of our finance function. In this role, you'll be continuously learning and developing your financial expertise, while contributing to the ongoing improvement of our processes.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll own a variety of daily and month-end tasks, including:

• Managing and developing the daily reporting of sales, promotions, and cash flow
• Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations with precision
• Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Handling HMRC and ROS filings, VAT returns, and other important statutory submissions
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting depreciation
• Managing foreign currency treasury operations
• Administering company credit card statements

Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, we're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

• Strong numerical abilities and a solid working knowledge of Excel
• Exceptional time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Business Central / MS Dynamics is a plus)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• AAT qualification or in-progress CIMA / ACCA studies
• Experience with Power BI is preferred
