Service Charge Accounts Assistant

M2 Property – South Kensington SW7, London

Are you a highly organized and detail–oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a great attitude? M2 Property, a busy property company based in South Kensington, is looking for a quick–learning and energetic Service Charge Accounts Assistant to join our team. 2 The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties, supporting our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, sending service charge demands, and chasing arrears. This position will give you the opportunity to grow both your accounting and building management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and emailing service charge demands.
  • Onboarding new clients and setting up their client accounting records.
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Processing invoices and daily transactions.
  • Running payment routines.
  • Dealing with leaseholder service charge inquiries.
  • Setting up annual budgets.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual service charge accounts.
  • Chasing late payments and sending out invoices.
  • Performing administrative support functions.
  • Updating and maintaining the accounting database with data entry and reports.
  • Handling monthly reports.
  • Handling day–to–day accounting duties.
  • General administration, including taking phone calls and filing.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience working in Accounting.
  • Accounts administration and professional experience in an office environment are essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Strong work ethic and great attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail–oriented.
