Qualifications

Accounts Assistant | £26,000 to £30,000 | Liversedge | development plan and full study support

Axon Moore are proud to be working in partnership with a PE backed manufacturing company as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team. With a first-class senior leadership team and very dynamic finance team, this business is offering a bright and ambitious finance individual the opportunity to take the next step in their finance career.

The role will offer full study support, mentorship and exposure across a broad range of finance duties. There is a progression route to Management Accountant and beyond within this growing business.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review and posting of monthly accruals & prepayments
  • Prepare month end journals including depreciation, stock movements and internal recharges
  • Inventory monitoring, reconciliations & reporting
  • Tracking and processing supplier invoices, payments and purchase orders
  • Assisting with maintaining costing records for raw materials and finished goods
  • Processing and monitoring of employee expenses
  • Supporting the VAT return process
  • Cashbook postings and bank reconciliations
  • Daily cashflow reporting
  • Other ad-hoc administration/office duties
Required Skills and Experience
  • Studying towards a Qualification (AAT, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Analytical and able to interpret financial information
  • Have previous exposure to a fast paced finance environment
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build relationships across the business
  • Adaptable and flexible nature
