Overview

Accounts Assistant. Permanent, Monday-Friday. Up to £27,000 depending on experience. This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that's looking for a proactive and organised Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team.

About the Role

As an Accounts Assistant, you\'ll play a vital part in supporting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day running of the accounts function. You\'ll handle tasks such as credit control, raising invoices, data input on Sage, reconciliations, and supporting both the sales and purchase ledger functions. This is a busy, varied role where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to grow and develop your skills within a stable and supportive business.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting activities
  • Credit control, raising invoices, data input on Sage, and reconciliations
  • Support both the sales ledger and purchase ledger functions
  • Assist with period end processes and reporting as required
What we\’re looking for
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Confident communication skills and a clear telephone manner
  • Experience with Sage (desirable, but training can be provided)
  • Great organisation skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and ability to work as part of a team
