Hudson Shribman is seeking an energetic Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance team in Letchworth Garden City. The role involves supporting finance operations, credit control, and performing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should have a solid accounting background and be proficient in Excel.
Hudson Shribman are working with a client, due to continued growth are looking to expand their accounts team, they are looking for an energetic individual as an Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced environment.
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)
The Role for an Accounts Assistant:
To support the Finance department, working closing with the Accounts Manager. Responsible for helping to efficiently run the Finance department and contribute to any other ad-hoc admin duties required.
Main Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
• The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Credit Card Reconciliation
• Company Expenses
• Process of supplier invoices
• Payment of supplier invoices
• Resolving invoice queries with suppliers
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Credit control - Chasing overdue invoices
• Creating Sales ledger invoices
• Petty cash processing
• Managing incoming emails and post
• General ad hoc office duties
Qualifications & Experience & Attributes for the Accounts Assistant:
• Desired Attribute, but not essential - Sage 50 System & Sage 200
• Solid office experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in the use of excel & other MS applications
• Attention to detail
• Good Numerical acumen
• Excellent organisation / prioritisation ability
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Able to work as part of a team
